Q – What method of cleaning do you offer?

We use hot water extraction, most commonly referred to as steam cleaning. We use the big truck mount cleaning systems that heat the water to 180+F. The water that we use is always 100% filtered soft water to leave your carpet feeling fresh and fluffy, not crunchy.

Q – What if we are not totally satisfied with your work?

If for whatever reason you are not completely satisfied with the work that has been performed, just call the office. We will come out and do whatever needs done to resolve the issues. We strive to make sure that we do the job right the first time but we are only human and mistakes can happen. We will never shy away from trying to make everything just right for you.

Q – Are the cleaning products you use safe for my family and pets?

Absolutely! The product that we use for carpet and upholstery cleaning is a certified green clean product that is soap free, dye free, hypo allergenic and safe for pets and baby.

Q – How much do you charge for carpet cleaning?

We absolutely, positively cannot give pricing information over the phone. Why? Well, there are numerous reasons. We charge by the square foot, not by the room. That means you only pay for the actual area we clean. That means we need to measure the rooms being cleaned. Are we doing the entire room or just walkways? Are we moving furniture? We also need to see the level of soiling. Are there stains that will need special attention? How worn are the traffic areas? Are there certain areas that are of special concern to you?

We’ll make all of these observations during our FREE cleaning audit. Not only will we gather the information we need to give you an accurate price but we’ll also give you a realistic expectation as to what we can and can’t do. It also helps us determine what equipment to bring and how long the job will take. We’ll leave you with your written quote, locking in your price for 6 months.

Q – Do I have to vacuum the floors before you come over to clean?

No you do not have to vacuum the floors.  We pre vacuum before we start cleaning.  If you think about it, it’s much easier to get dirt out of the carpet instead of mud so we want to make sure we have as much dirt out as possible before we start the cleaning process.

Q – Do you move the furniture or do we have to?

We can move most furniture. When we come out to give you the FREE cleaning audit we’ll go room by room with you and ask what you want moved and what you don’t. We will not move large items such as pianos or grandfather clocks. We also won’t move electronics like stereos or computers.

Q – How long does it take the carpet to dry?

Average dry time in Arizona is between 4-6 hours. This will fluctuate depending on humidity and the amount of air flow in the home. We will turn on ceiling fans in any of the rooms we clean. If weather conditions are right, opening windows and doors will also speed up dry time. Running the air conditioner can speed up the drying process by pulling the humidity out of the air.

Q – Is it true that carpets can re-soil more quickly once they are cleaned?

That can be true if you have someone that doesn’t know what they are doing or uses the wrong products. Companies that charge a low per room price have to use cheaper products that contain more soap. More soap means more suds. More suds can plug vacuum lines, leaving a residue in your carpet. This residue will attract dirt, causing your carpets to re-soil more quickly. The cleaning methods we use, coupled with a soap free, certified green clean product will not leave a residue so your carpets stay clean longer.

Q – How often should I have my carpets cleaned?

Here in Arizona with the amount of dust, pollution, smog and other air born contaminates you really shouldn’t go over 1 year without professional cleaning. Some people might need to have it done every 6-9 months depending on the amount of traffic in the house such as kids and pets. Carpet acts like a big air filter so in order to maintain the air quality in your home, you need to have your carpets professionally cleaned on a regular basis. We always clean for health first and appearance second.

Q – Will your carpet cleaning fulfill the warranty requirements for my carpets maintenance?

Yes, the warranty on your carpet states that the carpets need to be cleaned every 12-18 months by an IICRC certified company like Lack’s Cleaning Service.

Q – Will cleaning the carpets help with my allergies?

Yes. Your carpet acts like a huge air filter, it needs regular maintenance to work properly. Some people believe that carpet is bad for people that have allergies but it’s actually very helpful if maintained properly. Hard surface flooring doesn’t trap things like dust or pet hair. When the kids and dogs run through the house they stir all that up, causing it to go into the air and into your lungs. Carpet will actually catch those particles and keep them from becoming airborne. Proper vacuuming and cleaning will also help to keep allergies down.

Q – What does a carpet protector do for my carpets?

A good carpet protector will reinforce the protectant applied in the factory. Spills will actually be easier to remove. Vacuuming will be much more effective. Most importantly, your carpets will look better for much longer then with the original protectant alone.

Q – Should I re apply carpet protector to my carpets once they have been cleaned?

Yes. Over time, foot traffic causes soil to become ground in and trapped in your carpets fiber. To the naked eye, dirt has a smooth look to it. But if you look at it under a microscope, soil is actually an abrasive with sharp, jagged edges. All of the soil acts like tiny saws, cutting into the protector, exposing and damaging the delicate fibers. Now exposed, spills and soil can penetrate deep into the heart of your carpet. This causes your carpet to “ugly out” faster. It can also expose the fibers to the possibility of permanent staining, eventually leading it to wear out. That’s why it is so important to apply protector; to protect the investment in your home.

Q – Can you guarantee to remove all stains?

Sorry, no. Not all stains can be removed, but be assured that we will do everything in our power to try and remove them before we say they are permanent.

Q – I have spots that keep coming back, can you make them go away and stay away?

Usually. Spots that disappear with cleaning but then reappear in a few days usually means there is some residue leftover from a cleaner or spot remover that was used previously. If we clean and a spot does happen to come back, please don’t panic or get upset. Give us a call and we’ll come back out for free and retreat that spot. If theres a lot of residue left in the carpet it may take several tries to remove the spot.

Q – Can I trust your employees in my home?

Yes. All of our employees go through a thorough background check and drug testing. They are not allowed out on a truck by themselves until they have passed all training courses and we feel they are able to handle things on their own.
