If you have quarry tiles on your flooring you know that it is durable. However, unglazed quarry tiles are porous and stain quite easily, so you would need to use a sealant to ensure that the floor does not get stained.
- Use a sealer, that is meant for terrazzo, to seal the floor. Once the sealant dries, apply acrylic floor finish. Apply two thin coats of the finish.
- After you seal the floor, you can maintain it by mopping the floor with a damp mop. Make sure you vacuum clean the floor first to remove loose dirt and debris. If the mopping does not bring a shine to the floor, use a solution of white vinegar and water to mop the floor again.
- If the floor is stained, use some non-abrasive power and a synthetic scouring pad to get rid of stains. Do this only after stripping the floor and rinsing off the stripping agent.
